Dahlia Sale Info

Dahlias are one of the first flowers I grew for fun and one of the main crops we grow now, both for cut flower and tuber sales. While we focus on dahlias that work best for market bouquets and design work, I love to try new varieties and currently grow about 300 - though most are not currently for sale, as we always trial a variety for at least two growing seasons in order to build stock and make sure it's a keeper.

We follow standard sanitization procedures when cutting flowers and dividing plants to avoid the spread of disease, and if a plant doesn't perform well or appears sickly, it is culled.

OUR GUARANTEE

Each tuber you receive is guaranteed to be viable with at least one eye or sprout, and be true to variety name. Please keep in mind that storage this year was very difficult on many varieties, so expect there to be some uglier tubers than you may have received from us in the past. If the tubers from a specific variety were a little more wrinkled or soft than others, I noted that in the variety description. Extra ugly tubers are reserved for the "grower's choice" variety packs, and the truly questionable ones are what we plant. We'll only ship tubers that we're confident will grow! However, if you receive something you think is questionable, please reach out within a few days of receiving it. Unless some kind of damage happened during shipping, we'll recommend that you plant it as usual, but we'll have a record in the event it doesn't grow. However, we can't be held responsible for what happens during storage once a tuber is in your possession, or for your growing conditions. Since a tuber is live plant material, there is always some risk! Hopefully, every one of your dahlias thrives this season. If a new tuber doesn't do well, keep in mind that when growing in a different environment, plants may need a season to adjust. Please let us know if you have questions about growing.
