Black Hero Tulip Bulbs

Tulip bulbs for fall planting are shipping now!

To meet wholesale minimums, I ordered more than I need to plant so I'm offering my extras.

Black Hero is a late-flowering, double tulip that makes an ideal cut flower. The dark purple adds depth and drama to spring arrangements. Plants are typically 14-16" with strong stems.

These bulbs are not pre-chilled, so they'll need an extended cold period before blooming. Plant 4-6" deep and keep well-watered. Pull the entire plant out and cut the bulb off for the longest stem, and harvest before the flower is fully open for the longest vase life.

This variety has perennialized in my zone 7a garden, which is rare for double tulips!
